Controlling the Future of TV

  • Are You Tired of Paying High Cost of Cable or Satellite TV?
  • Are You Tired of Living Without Paid TV and Missing What Others Are Watching?
  • Do You Wish You Could Watch All Your Favorites Without Cable or Satellite?
  • Do You Want More TV Content Control?
Watch TV on Computer
Here's the thing... Back in the day, we had traditional TV, whereas cable and satellite companies ruled television-land, and had many TV viewers believing they couldn't watch local OTA TV stations without a cable or satellite subscription. Today, we can watch TV on computer, computer connected TV, or smartphone via Internet -- free from paid TV.

I'm here to help you wake up and smell the coffee in a nice way. If you were living under a rock, like many people today, and didn't know Internet TV is on the verge of a major break-through, then I like to bring you up to speed.

Perhaps you didn't know that cable and satellite now have another competitive force to deal with... Internet TV... with more competition ahead. Some of the popular TV content providers have gone solo, such as Showtime, to meet consumers demands that want to watch TV on laptop, tablet smartphone, or streaming media device.

These providers created their own streaming website for those subscribers who want to join and buy into their monthly TV plan. What this means in the real world is those providers are allowing TV viewers to watch specific television shows directly from the source, like ShowTime and watch specific shows of interest.

For a long time now, the outcry among consumers has been a strong desire to pick, choose, and pay only for the content they want to watch (more control) - not forced to opt into some kind of bundle or pre-packaged TV subscription that includes channels of no interest, whereas the consumer pays.

According to an article by Accenture...

..."the pressure the cable companies are facing from so-called over-the-top (OTT) providers, such as Netflix and Hulu, which send their content through the Internet. In short, we’re now seeing the collapse of the walls that previously excluded new entrants to the TV business. So how can the TV still be relevant in a tablet and smartphone age?"

"To be sure, TV viewing time has become fragmented—the result of busy lives that see consumers
recording, for example, the Boardwalk Empire episode that the school board meeting forced them to miss. And of course, “screen time” today is shared with laptops, phones and tablets."

..."latest research on consumer viewing habits finds that fully 62 percent of TV viewers are concurrently using a computer or a laptop and 41 percent are using a mobile phone—messaging friends about a sitcom joke or fact-checking politicians’ claims, perhaps (view infographic). Coupled with the widespread availability of high-speed wireless Internet, today’s viewing experience is more interactive, more consumable and far more sharable in real time."

I'm here to tell you there's a better way (Click Here), but Internet TV isn't for everyone. For instance, if you are computer illiterate, you will have a much harder time figuring things out to watch TV online. You need to know the basics such as opening and sending emails, how to clear the browser cache, how to close pop-up ads (where applicable), and so on.

Outside of this, there are commercial breaks that come with some of the streaming content. Some people think they shouldn't have to watch commercials when it comes to Internet TV, let alone when buying into a plan. There's no remote control, whereas you can flick through various channels at random.

However, when it comes to learning the basics, there are plenty of YouTube video tutorials that show how to do basic things.

Internet TV is where it's at, whereas you don't need cable, satellite, pay high costs, and don't need to buy expensive devices. If you already have a smart TV with web browser than you are in great shape. You have the ability to comb the World Wide Web and visit any website such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Crackle, YouTube, and watch watch all your favorites.

Watch TV on Computer with Full Streaming Content Control

You can't download any TV software/TV toolbar for computers with a smart TV that has web browser. Of course, a smart TV will have it's own limited number of apps This is why I tell people save your money and use what you already have... A computer with Internet connection. With a computer and high speed Internet connection, you can tap into any TV/VOD website (free-to-watch and/or pay-to-watch) and build your own web TV/VOD entertainment system easily.

To watch TV on computer, you can scale it up by connecting the computer to any large screen TV via HDMI cable (or compatible cable) and watch everything that way. In fact, you could purchase a mini-computer and buy a wireless keyboard and mouse to control the computer from a distance.

Now imagine having a mini-computer, which comes without a computer screen, positioned near your TV where both devices are connected via HDMI cable. The TV screen becomes the computer screen. You can do this with a Windows PC, Mac, or Tablet. However, a Windows PC is still the favorite.

Watch TV on Laptop

Once both devices are connected, simply go to the TV remote control, hit 'Input' (or something similar) to open a menu input options screen. Select the HDMI port where the mini-computer is connected such as HDMI 1, HDMI2, etc. And that's all there is to it! You've just created an Internet-connected computer TV system.

Now use the wireless keyword/mouse to surf the web and visit any TV/VOD website such as YouTube or Neflix. You can see what you are doing on the TV screen. Now play a video, movie, or live TV channel and watch it on your large screen TV. How's that for simplicity.

If you don't want to invest in a mini-computer and wireless keyword/mouse, then you can watch TV on your laptop or tablet. Once the laptop TV is connected (same way above), it will mirror whatever appears on your computer screen onto your TV screen.

A computer has no restrictions nor limitations, unlike streaming media devices and game consoles that come with limited number of apps. Not only does a computer allow you to visit any website over the World Wide Web but gives you the ability to have full control of unlimited streaming content, within your fingertips.

There's one particular TV/VOD software that similar with streaming media devices and game consoles with apps. Those apps connect to limited number of TV/VOD websites, like Netlix and Hulu that makes it easy to sign up and watch movies, videos, TV shows, etc.

The software I'm referring to is made for Windows computers (Mac version in the works). It's brings together over 100 popular streaming content providers (a.k.a. Over-the-Top [OTT] providers) and TV networks with premium channels to watch from one place.

You can connect or sign up to watch live and video-on-demand content from many free-to-watch and pay-to-watch content providers, like ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, FX, HBO Go, Crackle, and so on.

A computer also allows you visit 3rd party TV/VOD websites to join and tap into live sporting events and news from around the world, including entertaining old/recent movies, TV shows, music videos,
and other streaming live/VOD content online. Sports fans can watch TV on computer sporting events from around the globe or watch it all on the the big screen.

The computer is the best device known to man/woman that has the ability to deliver unlimited streaming content from the web, without any restrictions or limitations.

If you want to build a robust web TV on computer entertainment system that saves cost (compared to cable and satellite cost) and have more control – watch TV on computer or laptop (on-the-go purposes) and/or large screen TV, then what I just revealed how you can beat cable and satellite while saving money.

Now you may want access to OTA (Over-the-Air) TV stations/live broadcast from your local area, without the likes of cable or satellite. No problems... it's nothing that purchasing an indoor HDTV antenna can't resolve. In fact, you'll notice once the antenna is connected to the TV how amazingly better the picture quality becomes – better than cable and satellite.
